There’s a right way to start a business and there’s a wrong way to start a business. Why not start your business the RIGHT way and love it? In this post, we’ll talk about practical, yet powerful, ways to do just that.

How to Start Your Business the Right Way and LOVE It!

Stay true to who you are.

The first piece of advice I have is to always be authentic. In other ways, stay true to your personality and who you are. God created you to be unique and trying to operate any other way will only lead to playing copycat and eventually to a quick burnout. Your brand should encompass your style and genuineness from the very beginning.

Know your purpose.

This has been made into a very complicated part of having a business, but it doesn’t have to be. In fact, your purpose is and always will be tied to your passion. The key is to not deviate. When you know your purpose, you’ll know your why, and you’ll eventually be attracted to your ideal client and/or customer.

Don’t ignore your weaknesses.

In the hype of starting your business, you may focus solely on what you do very well, and rightfully so. However, you’ll only get so far before you’ll come face to face with things that could possibly be holding you back. Instead of waiting until that happens, start your business with your strengths and weaknesses in mind.

Be organized from the beginning.

When it comes to starting a business, the to-do list can get pretty long. The key is to write down everything you want to get done along with realistic deadlines and milestones. Don’t stress yourself by trying to have all your ducks in a row from the jump. Instead, tackle one task at a time, then rinse and repeat.

Have a good support system.

While it’s smart to cut as many business expenses as possible in the beginning, one smart investment is in having a good support system. This could be something like my free Facebook group, a few business-minded friends, or even a few personal development books. The overall goal is not to tackle starting your business alone.

Don’t give up.

All throughout the journey of having your own business, you’ll have moments where you want to give up. These are simply growing pains that will make you wiser and stronger. Dig deep and find solutions so you can continue moving forward and reaching your goals.

Final Thoughts

Starting a business isn’t always easy, and it shouldn’t be. If it were, everyone would have one! But that fact you are answering your call to be an entrepreneur says something about you. It says that you have what it takes to do what God has called you to do! Here’s to starting your business and LOVING IT!

I’d love to help you start your business the right way and be that support system to cheer you along the way. Join my Facebook group to be around like-minded women who are all about empowering, encouraging, and inspiring one another. You’re worth it!
